Our mission, methodology, and the people behind this initiative.
This website exists for one purpose: to ensure that every Indian has access to the historically documented truth about Aurangzeb Alamgir's reign and its impact on Indian civilization.
For decades, Indian textbooks have presented a sanitized version of medieval history that systematically omits or downplays documented atrocities against Hindus, Sikhs, and other non-Muslim communities. The result: generations of Indians who don't know their own history.
This website is part of the Bharat Files Initiative — a comprehensive effort to document and disseminate the suppressed history of India, using primary sources and verifiable evidence.
This website is built on five core principles:
We prioritize primary sources — chronicles written during or near Aurangzeb's reign, typically by Muslim historians who served at his court. These sources document temple destructions and persecution as achievements, not allegations.
Every claim is backed by cited sources. We do not invent, exaggerate, or embellish. If something is an estimate or interpretation, it is clearly labeled as such.
Where possible, we reference ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) reports and physical evidence. The 2023 Gyanvapi survey, for instance, provided physical confirmation of claims made in the Maasir-i-Alamgiri.
We rely on established scholars like Jadunath Sarkar (the foremost authority on Aurangzeb), R.C. Majumdar, K.S. Lal, and others whose work is based on rigorous archival research.
Wherever possible, we link to digitized primary sources on Archive.org, academic databases, and official government records so readers can verify claims independently.
